From the lookout, it’s easy to see why one would wanna walk down to The Oaks, one of the six beaches in Cape Paterson, Victoria. Surprisingly, it was very quiet even on a long weekend. Cam and I spotted only two others enjoying this bit of paradise and for the most part, we had it all to ourselves!

The Oaks is part of the Bunurong Marine Park where collecting seashell and driftwood is not permitted. Let stunning photographs be your souvenir instead – of the magnificent cliffs, the beautiful shades of green, the sparkling blue water and the lovely, long stretch of sand. If you’re up for it, have a Little Mermaid moment on the rocks and wait for the crashing waves for full effect!
